If you run an openwrt/dd-wrt firmware on your home router you can bounce of it too. Just configure ssh access on it and you have pretty much the same thing.


How do you make sure no one else is using your home router proxy?


Instead of setting up a standard proxy, you set up a standard ssh server, which can act as and/or tunnel to an internal proxy (e.g. by using the ssh -D option to create a SOCKS proxy).
