It looks great! Also, as a former Dynalist user and current Logseq user I must mention how impressed I am by Obsidian's growth. How are they doing it? It's the first time I hear about a notes app I like from outside of very niche circles.
Obsidian is made by a great team, which is the same team that made Dynalist. And their current CEO, kepano, was a community member and plugin developer since 2020 before becoming the CEO in 2023, so he knows what the community wants.
And the actual popularity of the app is probably significantly boosted by all of the productivity YouTubers who talk about Zettelkasten lol
It's the same team which made Dynalist. Local markdown files with Roam like backlinks + extensions is a game changer. I don't use it because it is written in Electron and I am a long time Workflowy user.
I prefer it to the crystal/glass shard previous concept. The ability to customize the colours is appreciated because I can bypass my irrational hatred of the colour purple.
Aside from aesthetic preferences, I like their design logic. Good job.
I like how sharp the old logo looked, so this feels too rounded and squiggly by comparison.
The adjustable colors are nice though. Hopefully it grows on me.
At least it isn’t another four-primary-colors app like Slack or Google, etc.
