The main difference there is that the lenses in a VR headset make the focus plane be infinitely far away. The main thing that's bad for your eyes with monitors and TVs is focusing your eyes up close for hours and hours. If anything a VR headset would be better for your eyes than a regular monitor.


Funny ppl downvote this comment while it's actually true. If you check out the "focal distance" of "focus plane" you will find out that everything you see in vr is on a fixed distance. What distance it is depends on the vr glasses (2m-infinity). I am unsure wether it's proven to be better, but it's surely not worse then watching a screen at 50cm distance all day long.
