Im pretty sure theres nothing black swan about cybersecurity attacks when they are as frequent as they are, across all industries.


Agreed. It's such a silly thing to call it. The point of the expression is that black swans were assumed to not exist. It's not a "black swan event" once you know that swans can actually be black. It's just plain old sparkling cybersecurity vulnerabilities.


Knocking out 20% of US beef production is kind of big.


So is knocking out 45% of the East Coast's supply of diesel, petrol and jet fuel,

Every company that is not making major financial investments in securing their infrastructures against cybersecurity attacks are really just waiting for "Not if but when".
