So, this is one is easy. In the future (let's say in 50 years) one would be able to buy brand-new old-model products. For example:

- I would be able to buy a brand-new iPod Classic 1st generation from Apple itself (and it will work just fine if I plug it in my MBP 2070, because software compatibility in the year 2070 is awesome).

- I would be able to buy any Nike sneaker model as brand new! It doesn't matter which model, every model since Nike is Nike is available and they are being sold as brand new! No software compatibility is needed in this case, though :)

- Buy any edition of any magazine. Brand new!



I think in 50 years consumer-level 3D printers will be able to print pretty much any consumer goods you want. Especially "simple" old stuff like shoes and electronics from 50 years ago. But why would you? Old junk like that will be found in antique stores for small change (except for the rare collectables).

If you want a first-gen iPod buy one now (and some extras for spare parts).
