Because there's no good business reason for Apple to do so. iMessage is a feature of iOS and MacOS. It's part of the advantage of working on those platforms.


Apple also makes it easy for the iPhone to sync with Windows. There is a Windows version of iTunes (does it still exist?)

The more people on the platform, the better for Apple as network effects make the platform more useful. The same applies to FaceTime.


Those exist because, without them, they'd sell fewer iPhones and iPods.

Porting and supporting iMessage on Windows or Android would not accomplish the same thing.
