This arrogance of “I need the one true language that was perfectly designed from the start and never needs to change! If a new feature is added at all ever after initial release, it must mean the language is useless. Why don’t we all use Go? That’s the perfect language. It’s just like C.”

The borrow checker is a major leap forward, even if it’s from the 80s. And, with the incredibly expressive power and concise syntax Rust offers, it’s an incredibly compelling option.

Plus, Rust has a guarantee of backwards compatibility.
