I agree with this so much. Taking the time to learn, just the basics, will save you so much money. Even if you never implement the final project it will leave you in a much better place to negotiate. And if your a coder, take the time to learn about online marketing, same principals apply.

Whatever other skill set you have above all learn to write, if you can write you can express yourself, you can create a business plan, write a blog and write marketing copy and grow your idea on the cheap.
