We need people who can do both of those things. Unfortunately there's not much Node-expertise around here so we didn't really come across any back-end Node people.
I figure I can teach someone the Node-specific stuff if they have a solid foundation. Similarly, I think I can teach almost anyone HTML/CSS so I wasn't too concerned about those parts either; they were mostly just necessary as setup for the later questions.
The things some people tend not to ever be able to fully grasp are recursion and async programming which is why I wanted to make sure to include those.
