Awesome find! Haha this is like the bible for cartoonists. It was one of the first books on the topic: Was one of the first books ever published on the art of cartooning. At the time of its publication, cartooning was not yet considered a serious art form, but the book helped to change that perception. It definitely features a lot of humor, like the author's humor is evident throughout the book, and he uses humorous illustrations to help explain his points. It's still relevant today, despite being published over 80 years ago, many of the tips and techniques in "Points on Cartooning" are still relevant to aspiring cartoonists today.

Found this piece of code long ago online , Calculator game made from a kid from Scratch... (but spelled Claculator lol)

By the looks of how good Bing is with conversation. OpenAI has already said the GPT-4 "with great impact on functions like support, sales, content moderation, and programming." This sounds to me that 20% of the human workforce instantly got their countdown to termination to begin...

I can't see how you would employ less programmers just because it got easier. We're all not programming in assembly anymore, does that mean there are less programmers? Doing the basics in web dev is so easy it's table stakes now, does that mean there are less web devs?

It seems to me the only thing limiting software is budget. If more can get done in that same time more is going to get done.

California Labor Union Leader: "Our system is broken. It would be an understatement to say we are disappointed by this decision allowing companies to buy their way out of our state’s labor laws"

Uber Executive: "Our system is working. We’re pleased that the court respected the will of the people by upholding a voter-approved law.”

Breaking news: people with skin in the game talk their book. Full story at eleven!

Worth noting that the vast majority of the actual drivers agree wtih the Uber Executive here.

I imagine drivers prefer this because they saw the alternative was going back to being screwed over by the taxi companies. At least this way when they get screwed over by Uber they have a bit more say in when and how it’s being done and while that may be bad it is an improvement over what they had before.

The reality is these drivers need some kind of guild or union because as it stands they are being taken advantage.

Is there some reason to suspect that there was corruption involved with this ruling? Or is this just general fearmongering?

The buying was the money spent to ferociously promote prop 22, not paying off judges.

Hmm will be for the super rich for sure. Lets say one air canister is 160 breaths. And this canister is premium lol, and cost 32 bucks. cost per breath is $.20. Avg person = 16 breaths per minute. Cost per minute : $2.30. Cost per hour $192. Cost per day $4608. Cost per year: $1,618,920!
