i enjoyed learning go. not that far from js

when i first started learning programming i thought it was super important to pick one language to be really good at and that could do everything but you dont have to pick just one.

i honestly think learning it opened my mind to thinking about programming differently and is probably better in the end

learning more languages is good actually. I still mostly write imperative code but having spent some time learning functional languages was very good for my brain.

notion did this for me at work, in hindsight, probably spent too much time 'organizing.'

now i just use excalidraw as my todo / thought board

i do the same thing, i have a notebook stream of thought writing, notepad for scibbles, and a notebook for journaling (the one i dont like to dirty).

funny how someone else had the same exact problem and we came up with similar solutions independently.

I’ve used notepads as well for notebook but scratch purposes. Sometimes there’s stuff there worth keeping which I transfer over to a more permanent place. But a notepad, for whatever reason, just feels more disposable than a notebook even though the only real difference is no cover.

Good memories. I didn't know it looked so good on a color monitor. And must have had better specs than my 286, looks much smoother than I remember.
