Nowadays a lot of web servers are written in js, for better or worse

Is this news now? AP of all places

It started well, and then he is suddenly sick because fellow member of the drama group made a poster using AI without consulting him (her?)

Anyways, people looking for drama will find one

Language is the house of the being

I believe you are using the wrong language

> some institutional sucker will buy

They are committing fraud in the high trust society. Literally sucking blood from our kids and grandkids who would have to rebuild, if that’s even possible

Reminded me of the trucks which truck the airliners in the airports

Searched for it, they are called Towbarless (TBL) Tugs, they go under the nose of plane and lift the front wheels

I don’t particularly like cars, but those ones always had my attention in the terminal :)

Yeah, for those it makes sense to have the driver's cabin so low to the ground. Also for heavy-duty auto cranes (https://www.gelbe-seiten-svd.de/Anzeigen/bga_grafiken/80i353...). But for trailer trucks, the downsides (mostly the severely limited visibility for the driver) far outweigh the advantages.

Reminds me more remotely of scoops used in coal mining, in very low-ceilinged seams:

And many others. I felt it too

And it’s a good contrast with ‘just fcking use Go’ article he linked.

Go article is much more human. I love that and would choose a human centered language and human centered culture over LLM-centered everything every time

I guess I am just old

And tables with comparisons! Nobody makes a table by hand if it’s not packed with value. Tables in this article are not

This kids don't know what x86 is

I wish there were a media with articles like this

Yeah, thank you Google for the heads up, will look for alternatives (tbh already abandoned Google long time ago, need to find a maps alternative with public transport and working hours, near impossible in small European towns, Apple Maps db here is a joke)

They should be provided by the transit system. I'm visiting The Netherlands for the first time right now. I learnes the hard way to use https://ns.nl instead of Google Maps.

ns.nl is just for the trains, use 9292 for all public transit

ns.nl supports all rail services, bus, ferry, biking, bike share, scooter share, walking, and even driving directions :)

I stand corrected. I did not know they offered this; has this always been the case?

For public transportation I use an app called Moovit
