Neo: "Woah."

Thank you for this. I was going nuts trying to figure out where I had read this before. Peace and love! For the uninitiated, the Neil Stephenson novel, "Anathem", is brilliant and extremely entertaining.

And if you enjoyed that you'd possibly enjoy The Glass Bead Game

Thank you so much for sharing! I needed an inspirational smack in the face and this did the trick.

Why not target the enthusiast first? The buzz created around something interesting an "amateur" cooked up may be what you need. The investment involved with creating dev hardware should be minimal, correct?

I may be wrong, but from few other enthusiast niches I conclude, enthusiasts number is very little to feed hardware development. - Need millions sells, but really most real project have made thousands sells.

And this is long known - even Raspberry born for other market, fortunately, was not just killed but conversed to target enthusiast and even now incomplete project.

I've been looking for this! My method requires too many steps. I look forward to seeing if this improves my results. Thanks!

Looks like a one to my bad eyes.

I find myself flipping between these two states and find it exhausting.

Here's a short story on that topic:

This video is private. :\

Interesting video but when Tom was demoing the system there is no display of the demo. Is that a glitch in getting the video on YouTube?

The AV system was messed up during the preso. Might be that.

The video is largely useless without the visualizations, given that the video is exclusively focused on visualization...

This is the repo of the visualization software he demo'd. Not sure how accessible it would be to run locally, but I saw the demo in person and it was pretty cool: https://github.com/dollabs/planviz

It turns out that one of the A/V guys unplugged the laptop feed 5 min in and that's why the video is just talking heads.

I'm going to redo the demo and screen capture the video and splice it in somehow.

I'll post again here with an update.

Thanks much!

Thanks Tom
