so Lockpicking Lawyer is a badass and has way more tool time than me. But lockpicking is surprisingly easy. He does it precisely and slowly, but it can be done much more aggressively and with less thought. Individually manipulating the pins is great but turns out aggressive imprecise raking works too, especially on cheaper locks. Lots of techniques out there.

He demonstrates a lot of lower-skill attacks in various videos, showing pretty convincingly that against a lot of locks (even some more expensive ones where the manufacturer cut corners) they are effective and much quicker than single-pin picking. That includes raking, shimming, simply using force, etc.

This guy uses it tastefully though and its not hard to see why he likes it and he's right. It's highly readable. The people who hate it probably encountered it during Web 1.0 with accompanying Geocities style webdesign. GIFS! Cursor trails! Neon! Ads in technicolor! And double embossed chunky comic sans links and tables in too many colors because you just could. Web 1.0 was crazy and I miss it.

Almost as petty as pointing out pettiness!

The only way this wouldn't work is if there is a smell your body makes that never leaves your body. But otherwise it seems pretty reasonable that you could read offgassing as a way of detecting underlying effects.

I'm right there with you though, I bet the tricorder has a nose not a eye.

I am currently working in a ROWE (results only work environment). I have a similar schedule. I get way more done and have way more ideas. It's almost as if "gasp" letting people design their own work process makes them more effective!

Labor tech is the future. Next up block chain mutual aid networks.

Nothing wrong with deplatforming.

Yes we need to eliminate states.

Don't do those three things though. Do something that will actually change society. Fix, Build, Create, Expand, Move Beyond.

Why can't we do all of them?

I'd also like to add: we need to organize.

Yeah, they only show me stuff I would have wanted if I knew it existed, which for me is the essence of discovery. If it was limited to this and only the HQ stuff, not the I SEE YOU WENT TO WEBSITE SO HERES THEIR BANNER AD FOR THE NEXT MONTH stuff.
